Privacy policy

Last updated 9 September 2026

Meeting Zero is built so that your calendar never leaves your phone. This policy explains exactly what the app reads, what it stores, and what you control.

Summary

Meeting Zero is a local-first app. It reads the calendars already on your device, calculates your meeting statistics on the device, and stores the results on the device. There is no account to create, no sign-in, and no server that receives your calendar events.

We do not sell, rent or share your personal data. We do not use your data for advertising or tracking, and we do not use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs in the app.

Information we access

Calendar data: with your explicit permission, the app reads events from the calendars you select — title, start and end time, all-day flag, availability (busy or free), your response status, and the number of attendees. This is used only to compute your meeting percentage, weekly budget, streaks and week-by-week trend.

Settings you enter: your working hours, target meeting percentage, selected calendars and appearance preference.

Calendar access is read-only. Meeting Zero never creates, edits, moves or deletes events, and never sends invitations or messages on your behalf.

Information we do not collect

We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, precise location, photos, health data, payment details or advertising identifiers. We do not build a profile of you and we do not track you across apps or websites.

Where your data is stored

Calendar events stay in the calendar apps and accounts already on your device. The statistics and settings the app derives are stored in the app's own storage on your device.

Nothing is uploaded to us. Because the data lives on your device, it is protected by your device passcode and operating system security, and it is included in any device backup you have enabled with Apple or Google.

Legal basis and purpose

Where the GDPR applies, we process calendar data on the basis of your consent, given when you grant calendar permission, and solely to provide the features described above. You can withdraw consent at any time by revoking calendar permission in your device settings.

Your choices and rights

You choose which calendars are included, and you can change that selection at any time in Settings.

You can revoke calendar access at any time in your device settings (iOS: Settings › Privacy & Security › Calendars; Android: Settings › Apps › Meeting Zero › Permissions).

You can delete all data the app has created by deleting the app from your device. Since we hold no copy of your data, there is nothing for us to delete on our side. If you have a question about your data, contact us at the address below.

Children

Meeting Zero is intended for people in working life and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Service providers

The app does not send your calendar data to any third party. This website is served by our hosting provider, which may process standard technical request data such as IP address for security and reliability.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update the date below and, where the change is significant, describe it in the app's release notes.
